FUAT BALLACI
In Albania, the beekeeping profession is concentrated in specific areas more than the others, and one of them is also Delvina. Fuat Ballaci, a resident of this city, says that has been a very passionate beekeeper for many years. He does this job with as much passion and desire as in the beginning. Fuat shows that a good part of the inhabitants in his area are engaged in beekeeping, even he himself has learned this craft from his friends.
ARDJAN GUNI
Ardjan Guni is a 27 years old man who has inherited the tradition of making traditional hat from his family. Ardjan says that making qeleshe is a real art, because you need to have the careful hand and the sharp eye of an artist. Add the fact that the qeleshe are a symbol of Albanian history, a significant part of our folk costumes. Ardjan and his family are well known in Kruja for maintaining this tradition till now days.
NERTILA MISHAXHIU
Nertila works with stone embroidery with concarda. Nertila shows that every day more and more she likes handicrafts, because it is really complicated work but it makes it special. She has learned embroidey art from her mom. She leaves in Berat.
KRISTINA MARKU
Kristina makes knitting wreath sand she is focused on making wedding crowns. She finds handicrafts very special because it is a complicated thing and requires to be very detailed. For this reason she thinks it’s a rare craft and has started to like it everyday more and more.
IDAJET DUKA
Idajet is from Delvina and the craft that he does came as an inspiration during the quarantine period when he had plently of time to think about new products that had not been on the market before. Every day he thinks about new way show to bring out the most creative and decorative products, conceived and made by himself. Idajet is known for creating twine wrapped bottle drawed with pyrography technique. But, he is also well known about other skills for which he has also been awarded. He has won the award in polyphonic song as “The Great Master of Polyphony”, received the “Gratitude Award of Delvina City”, also received other evaluation as “The order Naim Frashëri”, “ The Honor of Gjirokastra Region” and “The Prominent Personality of Vlora”.
LUMTOR HARIZI
Lumtor Harizi is from a near village of Tirana called Baldushk. Throughout his life Lumtor has been engaged in the cultivation of grapes. Lumtor says that cultivating grapes requires not only the proper care but also to be very detailed, which is a job in it self. For him, beside the difficulties comes the most beautiful and important part, that of wine and brandy production. This is a family tradition that has been going on for years and has turned into a real family business.
MIKLOVAN DODA
Miklovan is a 31 years old man from Puka. He is very passionate about woodworking and wants to cooperate with other artisans as well to revive the market of artisans in the country. For the moment he practices the craft only in Fushë-Arrëz. Miklovan says that he inherited this skill from his father, who has been involved in woodworking all his life. Recently he has attended a training from CHWB Albania to gain more skills.
